🚀 Getting Started with Hedge Warrior V1

Follow these steps to get Hedge Warrior V1 set up on MetaTrader 5 (MT5): select a broker, open your account, download MT5, and install the EA.
Step 1: Choose Your Platform & Broker
  1. Select a Broker:
    Hedge Warrior V1 runs on MetaTrader 5 (MT5). Most major brokers worldwide support MT5.
    Always do basic due diligence: check the broker's regulatory license, leverage, execution quality, trading hours, spread/fees, and whether they use dynamic or fixed margin requirements.
  2. Recommended Broker: Vantage Markets
    After testing with more than 10 brokers, Vantage Markets provides the best overall trading conditions for Hedge Warrior V1, including low spreads, stable high leverage, extended trading hours, flexible lot sizing, and generous maximum volume per trade.
  3. Open Your Account:
    1. Sign Up Link: Open Live Account at Vantage Markets
    2. Referral Code: HedgeWarrior Enter this code in the "Referred By" field for full benefits and support.
    3. After registering, open a new trading account. Select Standard Account for best compatibility and lowest cost.
Step 2: Set Up & Install Hedge Warrior V1
  1. Download MetaTrader 5 (MT5):
    Go to your broker’s website and download MT5 for your device. Install it following the broker's instructions.
  2. Login to your trading account:
    Use your broker’s credentials to log in to your live or demo account in MT5.
  3. Copy Hedge Warrior EA to MT5:
    1. Open MetaTrader 5.
    2. Go to File → Open Data Folder in MT5.
    3. Open the MQL5 subfolder, then Experts subfolder.
    4. Copy the Hedge Warrior V1 .ex5 file into Experts.
  4. Restart MT5:
    Restart MT5 so the EA appears under "Expert Advisors".
Step 3: Attach EA to a Chart & Enable Trading
  1. Find the Symbol You Want to Trade:
    In MT5, open the Market Watch panel (press Ctrl+M or click its icon). Here you will see a list of available trading symbols, such as BTCUSD, NAS100, XAUUSD, etc.
  2. Create a Chart for the Symbol:
    1. In the Market Watch panel, right-click the symbol (e.g., BTCUSD, NAS100, XAUUSD) you want and select Chart Window.
    2. A new chart window for that symbol will open.
  3. Locate Hedge Warrior V1 EA in Navigator:
    1. Open the Navigator panel (press Ctrl+N or click its icon).
    2. Expand the Expert Advisors section in Navigator.
    3. You should see Hedge Warrior V1 listed there.
  4. Attach EA to the Chart:
    1. Drag and drop Hedge Warrior V1 from Navigator onto the chart you opened.
    2. When prompted, check that "Allow Algo Trading" is enabled in the EA settings dialog.
  5. Set Inputs for Each Symbol:
    After you attach the EA and allow Algo Trading in the EA interface, review the input variables (parameters) in the EA settings window.
    For best results, set these inputs according to the recommendations for your symbol as shown on the Hedge Warrior website Backtesting page.
  6. Enable Automated Trading Globally:
    1. At the top of MT5, click the ▶ green "Algo Trading" play button. If it's not green, click it to enable automated trading for all EAs.
  7. Check for Graduation Cap (🎓):
    A 🎓 blue cap in the chart's top-right corner means the EA is running. If not, check automated trading is enabled.
⚡ Important: Hedge Warrior EA runs on your computer (terminal side), not on the broker's server. Your PC must be on and connected to the internet whenever you want to run the EA. For 24/7 operation, consider renting a VPS (Virtual Private Server) later.
